Les Crosets is on the Swiss side over the ridge
from Avoriaz, below the famous Swiss Wall. A good way to rubberise
the legs after a hard day blasting the miles for the
obsessive, to the ultimate challenge of the week for
the aspirational. 650 km and the hotel is
on the piste in the middle of it all at 1600 metres. It
doesn’t come much better. In fact the hotel
is close to the village centre but there isn’t
much there. A small architecturally sympathetic
place with a large car park, 2 hotels and a few other
buildings. But it’s the hub of ski lifts
and pistes that matter from where one departs on the
long grand tours. Avoriaz, Morzine, Les Gets and
Chatel in France, Morgin, Torgon, Champoussin, Champéry
in Switzerland. Just the flags at the mountain
restaurants let you know whether you are in France or
Switzerland in this truly international area. We
hope our hotel is a good find. With a lot of it
not en-suite the price is reasonable. We can guarantee
couples a 2 bedded room. Everybody else will be on a ‘wait
and see’ sharing basis 2s, 3s and 4s. There
are no singles.
