Prices for Joining Group Ski Trips by Hired Coach
This is a quick version to get the basic prices on the website. Just
Adult prices are given for now. There are small reductions for children
in France and substantial child reductions for children and teenagers
in Switzerland. Full details will be displayed later in July when this
outline version is replaced.
Likewise lesson and equipment prices will be given later.
The prices shown include:
- Return transport by coach from the your
starting point in the UK inclusive of a return crossing from Dover
to Calais by P&O ferry.
- Full board at French Youth Hostels from arrival to departure. At
Tignes and Seez-les-Arcs Youth Hostels one gets a packed lunch. At
Val Cenis, La Toussuire and La Clusaz it is an eat in lunch with the
option, except on the day of arrival, of signing a list the evening
before for a packed lunch instead.
- Half board at the Swiss destinations and the hotel at Brides les
Bains.
- Lift passes
- A 6 day lift pass at Seez-les-Arcs and
Les Deux Alpes with the option of paying extra locally to upgrade
to 7 days.
- A 7 day lift pass at all other destinations (or a local lift pass
for the 1st day and a 6 lift pass to follow).
- The lift passes include free buses within
the immediate area. Buses to outreach areas normally cost a few Euros
except at Davos where you get the full works. Prices without a lift
pass available on application.
- Lift pass areas covered by our inclusive lift passes are indicated
in the resort list.
- Rooms
- French youth hostel prices are for sharing
in dormitories either by pre-arrangement, or ‘wait & see’ sharing
sorted out after all the bookings are in.
- Swiss youth hostel prices vary with room size
- Hotel prices are even more complicated,
except Les Crosets where the one price if for 2 beds guaranteed for
couples, with all other persons accepted on a ‘wait & see’ sharing
basis.
The prices do NOT include equipment hire or
lessons. These items are mostly pre-bookable. For equipment this is mostly so that you get
a discount but it also helps us know how many are not hiring so will
be bringing their own equipment on the coach. For lessons this is to
make sure you get fixed up with your requirements. At peak times all
classes can be full by the autumn. The cost will either be added
to your invoice or we will indicate that you pay locally.
Only at Seez-les-Arcs does neither Ski the Edge or in this case the
French youth hostel not involve itself in helping you book lessons with
the ski school.
FOR PRICES WITHOUT THE COACH deduct £100 off the January holiday
to Les Crosets, and £110 of all other holidays. Note that
except at La Clusaz places are very limited.
Also note that for other weeks of the season when Ski the Edge is acting
a booking agent for the French Youth Hostels prices are worked out in
Euros from the French brochure (out in August) and converted into £s
at the tourist rate on the day of the first invoice.
